Australian Open 2025

The 2025 Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year, is set to take place at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Victoria from Sunday 12th to Sunday 26th January 2025.
Here’s an overview of what to expect:
Men’s Singles
Jannick Sinner – 6/4 The defending champion and world No. 1, Sinner, had a phenomenal year in 2024 winning 2 of the 4 Grand Slams (Australian and US Open. His blend of power, speed, and tactical acumen makes him a favourite to retain his title and is one of the most exciting young talents in the sport.
Carlos Alcaraz – 10/3 Alcaraz went out in the quarter finals of last years Australian Open, however, that did not stop the Spaniard. He went on to win the French Open and Wimbledon Championship. The World Number 3 will be looking to add the Australian Open to his collection having previously won 3 of the 4 Grand Slams (French Open 2024, Wimbledon 2023 & 2024 and US Open 2022).
Novak Djokovic – 7/2 The legendary Serbian continues to defy age and remains a formidable contender. Djokovic will be seeking to add to his record number of Grand Slam titles, and his experience at at Melbourne winning this tournament 10 times could give him an edge over younger competitors.
Alexander Zverev – 9/1 Zverez will be looking to win his first Grand Slam. The World Number 2 did however come close in last years French Open losing 3-2 in a close encounter with Carlos Alcaraz.
Women’s Singles
Aryna Sabalenka – 9/4 Sabalenka made is back to back Australian Open wins in 2024 beating Zheng Qinwen in the final. The Womens World Number 1 won 2 of the 4 Grand Slams in 2024 adding the US Open to her Australian triomphe.
Iga Świątek – 3/1 The former world No. 1, Świątek, will be looking to put her early exit in last years competition (3rd round) to the back of her mind. Swiatek had a reasonable 2024 season retaining her French Open title and winning a Bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Coco Gauff – 4/1 The young American star went out in the Semi Final in the 2024 tournament. The World Number 3 will be looking to add to her single Grand Slam victory (US Open 2023).
Elena Rybakina – 7/1 The 2022 Wimbledon champion has proven her consistency across surfaces, and her serve is one of the biggest weapons in the women’s game. She could pose a significant threat to the top seeds.
